The Music & Worship ministry at Swift Creek is focused on celebrating God's work in the world, and in our hearts, through the sacrificial death of Jesus for our sins.
True worship is emphasized in God's first commandment, to have no other gods before Him (Exodus 20:3). We seek to worship God as Jesus said in John 4:23-24, "...in spirit and truth.” We recognize that we are more inclined to worship the idols of the world, and that we must intentionally resolve to place the Lord at the head of our lives. That resolve culminates in our gatherings on Sunday, to declare the Lord to be the chief end of our worship.
At Swift Creek, we take seriously what the Bible tells us, that worship is not merely our singing on Sunday morning, but is also preaching, teaching, praying, fellowshipping, giving, serving. Indeed, all of our lives are to be lived as worship, presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice to the One who created and sustains us. That belief informs the way we do worship at Swift Creek, as a honest expression of our gratefulness to God for what He has done for us through Jesus.
