Swift Creek's ministry to those with special needs and their families began in 1978. There is a Sunday School class each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Except for the summer months, the class participates in a bowling league for Special Needs youth and adults. They also have special activities occasionally. The third Sunday in March is designated as "Special Needs Sunday," and they take an active part in the morning worship service. Every summer they enjoy Vacation Bible School two Saturdays in a row. Each October the church provides a trip to the annual Eagle Eyrie retreat, a statewide event of about 400 people with disabilities and their families. Each December they have a Christmas party.
